Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese craft made by twisting washi paper into a strong “koyori” shape, dyeing it, and wrapping it in thread or film. Mizuhiki from Ehime Prefecture uses a highly difficult technique of 11 knots.

The coaster has a design that expresses the flowers and nature of each month of the year throughout the four seasons of Japan. It can also be used as an interior decoration.
